Thank you for this article. I am trying to figure out what options I have for a mild mentally retarded young man about to turn 18 and has several young victims already. This young man is going to be released upon turning 18 due to "aging out of the system", but the therapists reports all clearly state that he is a danger to the community. When dealing with juveniles, the laws are much different than for adults, so I am not experienced in this situation. All I know, is that he is nowhere close to being rehabilitated and may not ever be able to be. Something has to be done, but what? This question is keeping me up at night! I would be ever so grateful for suggestions from those who know what to do... thank you, again!
