I have decided that, as in the case of many southwestern style, Mexican themed restaurants, the food is often dumbed down to please larger, less discriminating crowds of diners. This is Café Olé. In the beginning, their dinners were great. Spicy and very flavorful. Muy sabroso y muy bravo. Not now. The original stuff was just too good for a lot of people. Their offerings are but a shadow of meals from years ago.

You left out the best for breakfast! This place has the best menudo in town. And the posole is even better. After a night in the Brady District, crawl over to Rio Verde. Order a bowl of menudo and a Tecate. You will make it for another day!
