Just went to a forum with Citizens for a Better Vision with Bill Christiansen and Roscoe Turner that cut through so much of how money is spent. I learned a great deal as the group with Bill Christiansen and Roscoe Turner's help went into details not covered in the town halls. This is what we need. There were north side blacks, conservative GOP and Tea Party there. I have never been to a more unifying meeting. I learned things about Tulsa that I hadn't heard. Amazing. Bill Christiansen will unify Tulsa. I am really impressed.

What needs to be brought up is Taylor's relationship with the Kaisers and how bond interest gets put in their pot through BOK. What she's not referencing is the big money cronyism that she is leveraging. I talk to people from Harvard all the time that would not support what she is supporting: Vision2, Obamacare, Agenda 21. She can craft it anyway she wants it. It's bad for small business except for the business of people like her husband.

I agree with Simple Skeptic. Bill Christiansen has been talking about looking at the structure and type of policing that needs to be done to deal with our problems. My gravest concern is that our crime statistics are understated because people 1) can't get through on 9-1-1 calls and 2) don't believe police will follow up on police reports. We have transnational gangs pushing into our neighborhoods in hotspots and hiding in the suburbs when they are on the lamb, and Bartlett wants to license properties. Likewise, Kathy "No Access" Taylor, had abhorrent relations with neighborhoods. Christiansen is the only one I know of who is concerned about TPD's relationship with federal and state law enforcement. TPD has typically been out of sync with other law enforcement agencies. It is frustrating and sometimes dangerous. I am relieved that Christiansen is listening. I hope he gets elected. We need him.

I'll believe it when I see it. I wish Bartlett would go after the business environment in Tulsa instead of looking for big business to subsidize. You can't get into technology in neighborhoods that are riddled with gun fights. I think Christiansen would have more knowledge in this kind of thing overall.

I strongly support Bill Christiansen and equally oppose both Bartlett and Taylor. Christiansen is listening--intently, ardently and his background in aviation naturally causes him to be approachable by people of all backgrounds. That's the nature of life on the airport. He is also a self-made man. Bartlett is out of step with Tulsans with his cuts to the police budget. His other initiatives seem ill placed. His wife touts tutoring, but in my neighborhood, I can't bring English tutors in because the teachers are afraid of the gangs. I have suffered directly because of poor 911 response. I think in Taylor's case, it is immensely important to look back and recognize the cronyism there and her smug aloofness. Taylor was NOT accessible to anyone but those elites radiating out from Kaiser. I am hearing that she fully supports Obamacare and Obama himself. I suspect retaking the mayor's office for her is about schmoozing with the White House and more power brokering--none of which gives Tulsans access to city infrastructure. She is a formidable imposition, but I can't see her as good for Tulsa. Christiansenhas real depth. I want to hear more from him in all areas.
