The author struggles to make the city council all about black vs white with her wording. She must not pay attention, or know any of the individuals on that council, as their main priority is reviving business downtown and elsewhere, not petty race problems. She also fails to mention that many of the locally owned business owners on the north side of the tracks, who are black, have complained that with the renaming of the street to MLK Blvd, that they will not be able to afford changing their address on all of their cards, signs, storefronts and bill stationary. Henderson kept pushing the renaming of the street as a re-election issue. It has worked. Renaming Cincinnati will cost, by Henderson's own projections, well over $100,000 of taxpayer money. Money that could have been used to keep open the parks in North Tulsa. The voters in North Tulsa should vote him out.

Went in on their first Friday night. It was packed, and VERY loud inside. They need to insulate the ceiling or something. The usual suspects are the bartenders, same people you have seen behind the bar for years around town. We sat at the bar and ordered their Poutine (canadian cheeses fries) and a meat and cheese plate. 35 minutes later we got the cheese fries, and 20 mins after that we got the meat and cheese plate. While it was packed there was only 2 other tables eating, not sure why the long wait. The poutine was gross, with a sweet BBQ'y sauce, not the traditional brown gravy. The meat on the meat & cheese plate was prosciutto straight from a store bought package. All in all, I won't be going back for their food, which is a shame since Chef Trevor Tack is behind the menu.
