The whole recycling program is nothing but a way for the City of Tulsa to generate more revenue, and reduce service. They eliminated low generator service, and twice weekly pickup which was about $8.50 monthly. Then increased it to over $15 a month, and once a week pickup under the recyling program with the largest bin initially provided. It's over $12 for the smallest bin if you elect to use that size. The new service dictates required lengths/girth to two feet of limb bundles, and special clear bags for leaves/clippings and requires additonal pay stickers for each. On the same bill of the new recyling service the city increased both water and sewer rates. My bill jumped over 21% in one billing cycle. On top of that, I've left my trash and recycled bins at the curb on pickup day spaced and facing the correct direction to the street as required with neither being emptied. I think the citizens of Tulsa should have made the decision on how they wanted THEIR trash/recycling service implemented. I believe in recycling, but this is not the way it should be done. I hope this is repealed asap.
