I too live in Edmond, OK and am a chronic pain patient on opioid pain management. I take nearly $2000 worth of pain meds a month and I'm still in constant pain. I believe medical marijuana is something I should have access to. Others in my similar situation that live in medical cannabis legalized states are able to be pain free and actually be an active part of society. The thought of using cannabis for pain relief now in Oklahoma isn't worth the risk to myself, friends, or family that would have to be involved in getting it from an untrustworthy street source and risking being caught and going to jail. I hope Oklahoma wakes up and joins the rest of the states that are going against federal law to help their citizens. I expect that one day medical marijuana will be legal in this state, but until then, I and others like Mr. Vaughn will have to live in pain daily.
