William, 5/15/2007 - 9:10am "I may be wrong but I thought it was the will of the majority to build the new arena and redo the old building? If you were not one of the people who wanted those things or wanted to pay for them... sorry. I want the danged arena, I want the convention center redone as well. Who is going to pay for any cost over runs? Those of us who want it, and yes those of you who don't. The voters have spoken so get over it. If you don't like where the extra money is coming from lets hear your solution. I will vote to raise my taxes and yours some more if ya want to bellyache about it and not find the means some other way.
The arena is going to be built, the convention center is going to be redone. Even those who don't like that fact should at least be wise enough to know that the failure or success of these two ventures will either hurt you or help you. I would think that it would then be in your interest to help figure out ways to make them both be successes. Griping about the results of an election long past isn't going to do that. The next challenge for everyone is to push to make these things work. I will be doing that, will you?"
