crg1960, 4/ 1/2008 - 7:34am "It's been pointed out in several of the comments that "DADT is for everyone". That no one, straight or gay, is supposed to prance their sexuality out in public.
If a GI in Iraq mentions that he got a letter from his girlfriend, and he misses her, and no one gets offended. An officer can talk about his wife picking out paint colors for the kitchen they're remodeling, and no one thinks he's trotting out his sex life.
If Sgt. Stewart mentions remodeling a kitchen with her partner, she's subject to being discharged.
Also (as pointed out in the article), what's a soldier to do when the act of reporting a violation of "Don't Ask" is in itself a violation of "Don't Tell"?"
