"As of the first week of June 2008, American Parking (trustee of the Tulsa Parking Authority?), has begun issuance of parking tickets/fines/citations on the location of the old Towerview apartments. I am told that is property of the city now, thru eminent domain, and since the demoliton of the existing structure, has been asphalted. My concern, or question is, that uninforced parking had existed, and being utilized by some construction personell. The lot is not striped, illuminated, and no notice/posting, or way of identifing it as a 'paid parking' existed. In fact parking bumpers separate it from a 'marked' and notified lot, which would indicate towards it's separation from the existing American Parking lot. I have heard American Parking now 'manages' the lot, per anothers contact/call with them. I am concerned this may be a lie, with the city's trustee thinking that none of the 'violators' will question the validity of it, and will wrongly accure hundreds if not thousands of dollars in fines/tickets fraudulently. Is there any truths here, and are there notification or striping regulations, or ordinances to give the public some sort of change of status notice, or is it commonly normal to have unanounced fee/status changes for parking lots? anybody know?"
