As a liberal Democrat and an urbanist, I can support nearly all of these policies without reservation. My biggest hesitation is that I do not believe we can achieve the scale of redevelopment necessary without public investments that may require additional revenue - especially for transporation. But that doesn't mean I oppose your endeavors, I'd just go beyond them. I pause at your emphasis on educational choice not because choice isn't important - we can and should promote educational innovation through choice - but because it suggests a lack of attention to our urban school systems. Strong alignment between districts and cities are proving effective in other urban areas, and we can do the same - while still promoting choice where available and appropriate. Overall good job - but I doubt anyone will surface with a platform anything like this, Mayor Taylor's included."
