"Meeting some friends for dinner who are in for the holidays and their one request was to eat at Ricardo’s when they came to town, found their info here on the site to see if they are open on New Years… thought I’d leave a comment…. Every time my friends come in from out of town, they want to eat here. My family eats here all the time and we have for 20+ years! I don’t think there is a chile relleno (ms?) any where that is better than Ricardo’s! My friends in Texas still say the best relleno they have ever had is at Ricardo’s Personally, I am a huge fan of the relleno and their beef enchiladas. (My wife loves there cheese enchiladas). Their burritolotta is pretty darn good, too. A friend whom I took there last week and is always skeptical about Mexican food – he’s VERY picky – could not believe how good their burritolotta is. Two other things that draws me there all the time, their salsa and all the cheese! I love a great tomato-y salsa. I load it up on their chips (great restaurant chips!) and have to go through about 3-4 cups of it. And if you are a cheese lover, you are gonna love Ricardo’s. I’m so sick of restaurants who charge you left and right every time you ask for a little cheese. Ricardo’s has cheese on so many of their entrees and the place is REALLY affordable. Their queso is awesome! I’m biased, I’ve gone there for years and the people who work there are like friends and family. You don’t get that much anywhere these days and I want people to know what me and my family knows. Ricardo’s has great food, great location and great people."
