I cannot say the same for your copy-editing staff with their incredibly misleading headline! This like most other public policies was aimed at poor women and restricting their access to the same health coverage that other, wealthier women have. It is never good public policy to increase the disparities amongst people in one's state. Kudos to Governor Henry for recognizing the inherent disparity and inequality in such a poor attempt at legislation. Fortunately, we have a governor and at least part of a legislature who is educated in regards to how public policy is often manipulated to give some the opportunity to push their own personal (often religious) morality and politically advantageous platform on the unsuspecting citizens of Oklahoma. Oklahoma City resident, B."
