JenksMom, 1/29/2008 - 10:50am "Wow... as a parent who has been involved in Jenks youth football and cheerleading for years, this has not been my experience at all.
I've never been part of a more organized, well-run, and fair youth sports program in my life! While it's unfortunate that the people interviewed compared it to a religious cult-- it's nothing like that. I can assure your readers that every effort is made to follow the rules enforced by the Indian Nations Football Conference and keep it fun for the kids! As far the draft process goes, it's clear that the parents involved in the article did not understand that process-- perhaps they needed to read the INFC football rule handbook to grasp what was going on. It's all about forming teams of equal ability-- not stacking teams. Next time an article like this is written, maybe someone from the youth organization can be interviewed to give the other side of the story."
