Tootles, 7/21/2009 - 1:58am "The apartment design that Bomasada CHOSE for the city is not compatible with the neighborhood. It is the biggest scale so the biggest money maker for the developer. Greed does not always work well. If the developer had tried to work with the neighbors and listen to their interests, maybe they'd have the property to build on and everyone would be happy. Congeniality in business practices never hurt anyone. The problem here in Tulsa is that these developers think they've got the city leaders in their hip pockets and that if they whine enough or threaten NOT to build, they can get whatever they want. We need better leadership in INCOG and TAMPC. They should be looking out for the neighbors interests as well as the city's. If a developer wants to build badly enough, they will compromise."
