Bill F, 3/29/2010 - 5:25pm "I used to live in the neighborhood next to D'Oro's original location on Mingo south of 31st next to Mingo Creek across from Hicks Park. I remember that it was an Asian family that owned and ran the place. Friends, classmates from Skelly Middle School, and I would ride our bikes up there for their pizza buffet lunch and to play that martial arts video game they had, before heading over to the Comic Empire just up Mingo. The family there didn't seem to like us much, and were a bit rude at times, maybe because 13 and 14 year-old boys can put away a LOT of pizza, but they tolerated us. To this day, I have not had anything that tastes like their pizza. As the review notes, it was the flavorful sause and light, bubbly crust that made it taste so unique and good. I miss it and have not had it in over 20 years. I was glad to Google D'Oros and find that it still exists. I'm there next time I'm in Tulsa."
