William, 8/ 6/2008 - 8:50pm "Oklahoma should build a refinery. Raw materials is not where the profit is at, the profit is in the refining. You can try to make money growing cotton, or you can be the one selling the designer T-shirt. You make substantially more being the one who produces the product versus the one digging, or growing, the raw material. 3rd world countries have raw materials. The wealthy ones turn those raw materials into more valuable products. Growing things is fine, but taking what is grown and selling that product is where the real money is at. Farmers going broke while Nabisco takes 25cents worth of corn and sells it as a box of cerial for 3 dollars... Lets get a clue in this state and quit selling our natural resources "thinking we are doing well" while the other guy makes a killing taking that resource and producing more valuable goods from it. We need the refineries here in Oklahoma, not just across the border in Kansas. Thats stupid."
