First of all, there are a lot more counties then 17 in Oklahoma...nice editing there. Second, there are a lot more registered Democrats in Oklahoma then Republicans, so it's not like people are just towing the line.
The fact of the matter is Oklahomans 'got it good*' and fear/see no need for change.
*Cheapest gas in the country, cheap rent...etc..etc..
