Addamo, 6/14/2010 - 10:52am "I find the relationship between religion and economics interesting. I know it's only a small part of this article but still relevant. The Christian faith owes some of it's spreading to economics, wether that's good,bad, both, could be a lengthy discussion.
I think the best relationship for this is within the Islamic faith. The spread of Islam through North Africa and the Arabian peninsula was really because of the massive trade caravans traveling the area. After the caravans Muslims began to "set up shop" in areas which they called bazzars. Economics and religion went hand in hand and probably still does."
