"I live in WA State, but moving to OK soon (I'm native, been gone 20 years)...anyway, here in WA we have government controlled liquor stores, but we can buy strong beer and wine in grocery stores, corner stores, discount stores (e.g.,Target), etc.. We also have wine samples in grocery stores and written reviews by the store employees. I love buying my food and wine together... oh, AND there is always a wine expert in the store....just like a meat expert in the meat dept. Oklahoms is backass. I dread my upcoming relocation to the state. I have also recently lived in Mainland China - wine store and liquor stores (not government run!!!), EVERYWHERE and wine and liquor sold in the supermarkets (French Carrefour and Auchen stores). Returning to the USA after living abroad (in a "Communist" countery) made me realize how differently we all define freedom. I am ready to do what I can to get rid of the antiquated Oklahoma liquor laws when I arrive. Oh, and years ago I tried to ship wine to Oklahoma from a WA winery and was told Oklahoma was a state that they could not ship too. Love that Okie freedom!?"
