Bill Worth, 12/ 1/2011 - 1:50am "We have a dedicated society of Police, Fire, Sheriffs, 911 operators who must never say never. They choose to help others. EMSA implemented a program approx 4yrs ago to add a base charge on the water bill that people could opt out of. Why doesn't this option present for 911,police & fire personel. Sales tax is not a steady base with internet purchases available. I would gladly pay $1.99 a mth(example) on water bill for security. The income would provide more officers, full staffing of operators, additional fireman. We get what we pay for. Our safety is funded by Tulsa City/County Sales Tax. When the economy takes a hit we are all affected. Just a thought."
