"It amazes me that there are people that believe that it's the government's responsibility to make sure you're not sick, you have a job, a place to live, an education. Wake Up Ted, no one owes you or anyone that thinks like you a damn thing. There are no trophies in life for showing up. If you want something then YOU make it happen. (YOU is used generally for all those that think like Ted)
Get off your ass and get a job. But then you don't want just any job, it has to pay a certain dollar amount, have benefits and I'm sure you don't want to get your hands dirty. Work your way up in a company? Oh heck no! Middle management or higher is what you expect and no overtime! Can't afford your rent? Find a different place to live, get a roommate or move back home with your parents.
As far as the government being responsible for your drug addiction(s), forget it! Taxpayers foot the bill for the DARE program throughout your educational years to educate you on the pitfalls of drug use and yet, you're addicted. I don't care what excuse you use for your addiction ultimately YOU made the decision to use and abuse drugs. Man UP and take responsibility for your actions.
You see Ted, every time you look to the government to "help" you, you are essentially asking me to pay for your bad decisions. Grow up, get a job, the world doesn't owe you a damn thing and neither do I. Put your big girl/boy panties on... you are where you are because of the choices YOU have made. It's all about personal responsibility."
