In the story I remember refering to Tulsa as 'The Magic Empire' from something that I had read at the time. After calling our excelent library system, I was told that the term was actually coined by The Tulsa World in 1922; refering to their 32 county circulation. OK, I was a bit let down as I had thought that the accolade came from something much bigger. But it doesn't matter because those three words have been used countless times since then to describe our fine city. Why? Because perhaps, it's true. After reading your artical, I have but just another reason to continue to be proud of the city I call home - The Magic Empire.
