Alleybrat, 2/28/2013 - 10:49pm "Perkins is wrong in concluding that 'a lot of very important players' were left out early in the process. They decided not to participate, and not to speak up until the end of the process - and only then in order to bring things to a grinding halt. There were very regular and very public meetings throughout the process, which lasted years. This is a disgraceful example of a small minority of the old guard attempting to preserve a long-discredited status quo - and getting away with it. The TMAPC takes a good portion of the blame for letting this happen, particularly the Mayor's own delegate, who should know better. It must adopt this shriveled and weakened form-based code, and then it must start work immediately on expanding it further. Then perhaps Tulsa will finally stand a chance of joining the 21st. century alongside cities like Fayetteville, Fort Smith and Oklahoma City."
