Dusten and Veronica are registered members of the Cherokee Nation irrespective of blood quantum or race. What is important is that they are both registered members according to Cherokee law. Russians citizens are Russian citizens per Russian law. French citizens are French citizens per French law. Chinese citizens are Chinese citizens per Chinese law. Cherokee members are Cherokee members per Cherokee law, etc.

She did nothing wrong to be denied the opportunity to grow up with her own father who clearly wants to raise her and who has been raising her.
