Throwing a child’s birthday party is simultaneously the easiest yet most difficult thing to do. On the one hand, coming up with plenty of ideas and finding the right birthday decorations is simple. On the other, some children may not know exactly what they want, which leaves you to figure out exactly what kind of party you should be throwing for your child. Have you found yourself in the latter position? Are you currently asking yourself, what’s the best theme for a child’s birthday party? If so, here are some excellent birthday themes that will make your child’s birthday one to remember!

1. The Exciting Summer Pool Party

Although plenty of adults have their own pool, that doesn’t mean that it gets to put use, especially during the months when it is best to take advantage of it. Rather than letting your pool become nothing more than a large pond, consider inviting your neighborhood, your friends and family, and your child’s classmates over for an exciting pool birthday party. Everyone likes to take a refreshing dip, and you can always make the party more fun by adding a variety of pool toys, water slides, squirt guns, and water balloons, and other exciting elements that will ensure that the fun never runs out. Of course, another exciting element of these kinds of parties is the food, which can feature refreshing fruits and ice cream cake. Depending on your child, you can further specify the theme by turning it into a mermaid party or a pirate party as well!

The most important thing to remember, however, is safety. Always make sure that parents are watching over the children at all times and that you have safety precautions like a pool safety fence in place so that no accidents happen when the party has moved inside or people have started to leave.

2. The Wild, Wonderous Circus Party

Something is exciting about the circus that seems to attract children. Whether it is the colors, the acts, or the animals, there are plenty of reasons to love these traveling troupes. That said, not every child will have the opportunity to see one, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t bring the fun to them with a circus-themed birthday party. Snacks like cotton candy, popcorn, and soft drinks or punch create the perfect setting for all of the circus fun that you want. Then, all you have to do is decorate your party, either by hiring entertainment such as clowns and a long island magician, bringing live animals to your party, or hiring face painters who can give the children realistic-looking clown makeup. If your child loves the circus, there are plenty of ways you can bring the experience to them.

3. A Rootin’, Tootin’ Western Party

Whether you have a cowboy or a cowgirl on your hands, throwing together a wild west party is both easy and fun. From the small succulents, banjos, and lassos that will inevitably find themselves sitting throughout the house to exciting games like bean bag tosses, horse riding races, and squirt gun shooting competitions, the wild west is fun for everyone. With this type of party, however, it is especially important to remain vigilant! There are plenty of dangerous objects out there in the desert, and it is up to you to make sure that the little rebels are safe.

Planning a fun, amazing birthday party child doesn’t have to be difficult or stressful. There are hundreds of excellent ideas out there that will make your child’s day. If you are looking for a few ideas to kick off your search, use the three ideas listed above to boost your inspiration and get you started!
